Ammonites are an extinct group of marine mollusks that belong to the subclass Ammonoidea. These creatures were cephalopods, which means they were related to modern-day squids, octopuses, and nautiluses. Ammonites lived in the world's oceans from the Devonian period (around 419 million years ago).
Metaphysically amomonites are symbol of change and positive motion. It is believed that ammonite purifies negative energy and it is used in yoga for that reason. It is thought this fossil can enhance fertility.
